  Allyson Dugan is a senior pursuing a degree in Material Science Engineering and a minor in Spanish Language. She hopes to combine her engineering and language skills to work on sustainability from a manufacturing or operations role. Outside of the classroom she is an avid trail-runner, skier, and traveler who can be found dancing to Spanish music or cooking dinner with friends on any given Friday night.

Kate Mather is a senior pursuing a double major in Economics and Sustainability.  She plans to use her experiences and  double major to make a positive difference in the world.  Specially, Kate hopes to work with renewable energy in developing nations.  Outside of the classroom, Kate loves to play lacrosse on the club team at Michigan, hanging out with her friends and binge watching TV.

Claire Yerman is a senior studying Environmental Science and Business. When she's not studying, you can find her near bodies of water; she was a member of the University of Michigan Sailing Team and worked this past summer in wave and tidal energy. She hopes to find a career that combines her deep commitment to global social good and sustainability.

VP of Social Impact

Jon Halpern is a sophomore pursuing a BBA at Ross and a minor in Community Action and Social Change. Jon’s from Newton, MA, and he’s passionate about using positive business as a vehicle to promote impact. In the future, he plans to pursue a career in the intersection of business and social impact, and sees himself working in human resources or management consulting. He also loves trying new restaurants, spending time with friends and meeting new people, and watching Game of Thrones.

After graduation, he hopes to pursue a career in management consulting, ideally with an environmental focus. He is passionate about finding ways in which companies can be both financially profitable and environmentally sustainable. Outside of school, he enjoys playing sports, traveling, and cooking.

  Matt Spinelli is junior from Long Island, NY, and is pursuing a BBA degree with a minor in Sustainability while also a member of the Graham Undergraduate Sustainability Scholars. He enjoys spending time on the water, whether it be scuba diving, water skiing, or kayaking, and spends most of his nights watching nature documentaries. Matt spent part of last summer studying sustainable business practices in Costa Rica, is currently working on a solar panel installation project for Net Impact, and hopes to pursue a career in which he can combine his interests of business and sustainability to enact positive change for the community.

In her free time, she enjoys playing violin, reading, baking, and learning new languages.

Charlene Franke is from Falls Church, Virginia and is a junior pursuing a BBA and minoring in Native American Studies. Charlene joined Net Impact to find a community of students passionate about how business can advance social impact and sustainability, and has loved every minute of her involvement! This past summer, Charlene interned at the Detroit Creative Corridor Center, where she explored her interests in small business development. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, and learning about social justice issues and current events.
